Helping PAW helps make selected veterinary surgeries more affordable for pet owners on Long Island. Our nonprofit clinic is located in East Meadow, Nassau County, and serves families from Nassau, Suffolk and surrounding communities.
Selected surgical procedures
In addition to spay and neuter surgery, we perform selected pyometra surgeries, mass removals, amputations, enucleations, cherry eye procedures, gastropexies and other surgeries. Suitability depends on your pet’s condition and our available services.
How to request care
Tell us what surgery has been recommended and upload relevant medical records. Our team can review whether we can help and discuss the expected cost. Pricing depends on the procedure and care your pet needs.

If your pet needs urgent care
Helping PAW is not an emergency hospital. Appointment requests may take up to 72 hours for a response. Pyometra and other serious conditions can require immediate treatment: do not delay emergency care while waiting to hear from us.
Spay and neuter services
